Wow, what a year it has been! We can hardly believe that it’s been a whole year since our last blog post, and we want to start by saying a heartfelt apology for the radio silence. This past year has been nothing short of incredible. We’ve embarked on new journeys, celebrated beautiful beginnings, and welcomed new faces into our extended Pengelly Family. So, let’s catch up on all the amazing happenings that have unfolded since we last posted.
A Summer of Love
First things first, we’ve just completed our first full summer season, and what a summer it was! We’ve witnessed love blossoming in the warm sunshine, and our venue has been the backdrop for more than 30 beautiful weddings over the past year. Each one unique, each one filled with joy, and each one a testament to the enduring power of love.
Growing Our Family
In the past year, our family has grown in more ways than one. We celebrated the arrival of two precious babies into the Pengelly Family, filling our hearts with even more love and happiness. We believe that love multiplies when shared, and these little bundles of joy have certainly added an extra dose of magic to our lives. After some well-deserved time off, we were thrilled to welcome our Venue Manager Lauren back to the Pengelly family last month. Her expertise and warm-hearted approach to wedding planning have been greatly missed, and we’re excited to have her back where she belongs.
New Faces, Same Heart
Speaking of new faces, we’ve had the privilege of welcoming two incredible Wedding Coordinators, Sarah and Megan, to our team. Their passion for creating dream weddings matches our own, and they’ve already played pivotal roles in ensuring each celebration at our venue is nothing short of perfect.
Every Season is Wedding Season
At The Barn at Pengelly, we firmly believe that every season holds its own unique beauty. Over the past year, we’ve witnessed breathtaking weddings in every season imaginable. From the cozy embrace of winter with Christmas themed weddings to the vibrant colors of spring, the warmth of summer, and the rustic charm of autumn, we’ve seen it all. Our venue is a canvas for your love story, no matter the season.
Unforgettable Moments
It’s not just the weddings that have made our year special; it’s the moments in between. We’ve had horses gracefully escort brides down the aisle, alpacas visiting to delight our guests, and magical horse and carriage arrivals that left everyone in awe. We take pride in being a family-friendly venue where all animals are more than welcome to join in the celebration.
Blooms of Sunshine
Our beloved sunflowers have been in full bloom, adding a touch of sunshine to every wedding. Their bright, cheerful presence has become synonymous with the happiness that fills our venue.
Additional Accommodation
This summer, we were thrilled to introduce three new yurts for our wedding guests. These cozy accommodations offer a unique and charming way for your loved ones to stay close to the heart of the celebration.
